Red Top Cab recently donated more than $3,100 in support of the Arlington Police, Fire & Sheriff 9/11 Memorial 5K Run, held on Sept. 10.

The check represented $1 for each time a Red Top Cab was dispatched on Sept. 11, plus contributions from the cab company’s employees and drivers.

In addition, 24 Red Top employees and drivers volunteered to help at the annual race, which drew thousands to Crystal City. Proceeds from the event will support the Wounded Warriors Project, which builds adaptive housing for injured veterans.

Red Top Cab founder and president Neal Nichols presented the check during a ceremony with Arlington Police Sgt. Sean Bryson and retired Capt. Matt Smith.

“Red Top Cab was a great addition to this year’s race,” Bryson said. “Their spirit, enthusiasm and commitment lifted everyone higher.”
